Hi, I'm Cheryl Morgan, FNP, ARNP, Clinical Director at The Center for Intentional Health. I have over 20 years of clinical experience, am certified by the Institute of Functional Medicine, and certified in Functional Neuroscience through Duke University.
Fortunately, there is a new approach to getting your life back. I've helped thousands of patients regain their health through our personalized, functional and integrative medicine solutions.
Research shows that most people with chronic health issues have significant obstacles in finding effective and lasting solutions for their health issues.
In order to restore health and feel good again, the underlying problems need to be uncovered and understood to be treated efficiently.
To get started, the first step is to schedule a free consultation.
This is your chance to ask questions and determine if our advanced testing & customized protocols could be right for you.
Take the first step toward feeling good again—schedule your consultation today!
Without you working with my doctors, I would not have made it. A perfect storm met the perfect combination of traditional and integrative medicine, advocacy, respect & care for me to heal! Bless you.

I've looked all over and no one has anything like what you give your patients. I know it all worked and helped me lose weight and keep it off but even more- like finding words or my keys!

It took me awhile to come around to the concept of investing in health, but seeing others doing well encouraged me during one of the hardest times of my life and I'm on the path to wellness at 73!

Cheryl Morgan helped me immensely. In 6 months, my daily pain level reduced significantly and I sleep a bit more soundly, and my multi-year chronic cough continues to reduce in severity and frequency.

How is functional medicine different?
Functional medicine permits you and the physician to examine the symptoms to establish the affected systems in your body. The focus of functional medicine is on patient-centered care, promoting health as a positive vitality, beyond just the absence of disease. The practitioner brings the patient into the discovery process and tailors treatments that address the individual’s unique needs.
How are treatment plans developed and chosen?
The unique programs developed are based upon clients needs, interests or questions about solutions for concerns they have encountered in their journey to wellness. We also employ protocols established and endorsed by the Institute of Functional Medicine(IFM) and other respected agencies and professional organizations such as Lifestyle Medicine. Thorough investigations of current research, evidence-based publications and scientific journals are continually made to provide the 'best practice' approach to care.
How does Functional Medicine work with Primary Care ?
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, our provider can serve as a specialist, or your consultant to facilitate optimal care and communication with your existing primary care provider, to determine the cause of your condition(s) and identify effective options. This is the optimal level of care. Integrative and Functional Medicine are considered specialities. Our clients are finding improved quality of communication as well as collaborative care between their respective healthcare providers.
Do you accept insurance?
Some services like most lab work or imaging can be filed through your insurance plans. We have chosen not to accept assignment with health insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. This does prevent you from using your insurance on covered services. To provide clients the unparalleled care they deserve, more time is spent with and on behalf of each of our patients. More importantly, addressing health in a holistic way is the best method, but insurance companies do not follow this principle. For this reason, we do not have contractual relationships with insurance carriers. We do offer fixed cost service rates and annual retainer programs that can minimize costs for our clients.
